here's my seasonal rundown yet again!

this Season is eps 566-605 (40 episodes! holy crap! :o)

Metropolitan Police Detective Love Story PART NONE! as far as i can tell there are NO MPDLS titled episodes in this season :< damnit! my fave part of Conan entirely missing again!? for the third season in a row?! waugh! :< well TakaTo got their first smooch in S18 so i guess those two can get their romance 'wedged' in amongst the other non-MPDLS episodes' content. ;9

9 two parters. i can see. they are either labeled as part 1n2 or are titled the same/similar or with a separate sub-titling.

18 one parters. i think. :> but it looks like a lot of those one parters have very similar titles.

ZERO 1 or more hour long specials.

as to Christmas/New Years specials i see ZERO.

as of this episode 566 we are now... EXACTLY 188 episodes away from the first of Funi-Roll's OFFICAL SUBS!

The romance for takagi and sato concluded with that kiss I’m surprised aoyoma never put them as a romantic comedy .I felt that’s why he added two new police officers but honestly it’s hard to see these characters as a couple

yeah, Ao-sensei really hasn't done alot with his 'romances'... the Mouri couple keeps almost getting friendly again and Kogoro screws it up. Ran and Shin of course various big huge moments but 'circumstances' etc. Heiji and his girl ... :> he keeps chickening out. biiiig chicken! cluck cluck cluck! :> then there's Chiba and his girl ... that one is barely developed before Ao-sensei stopped writing about it. ol poodle head and sensei are dating officially but they're still in the 'getting to know you' phase before Ao-sensei just stopped writing about it.

i think TMS did a great job with the comedic filler episodes about the middle Akai brother and his gal Yumi. my fave was the one where he finally gets serious with her and is going to introduce her to Shuu and Masumi... but poor Yumi gets so nervous she drinks way too much booze while they're enjoying some time together before the meeting... :D

i'm thinking, Ao-sensei is writing the 'romance' into the stories, to make SOME of his fans happy that 'things happen'... but that really isn't his 'thing' ... he's... i dunno, just not too good at it? shrug!?

i really wouldn't know, i haven't dug into the Kaito research at all. i perused a bit of the info about ahh... the samurai vs the oni manga he did (and it got an anime adaptation too!). i can't remember its name right now. but i was just scanning the pages of text written about the manga and anime due to there being multiple references to that older manga in Conan's and anime.

from the 1000+ Conan episodes, i just got the earlier impression i mentioned about how he's not 'so good' at writing romance vs how he does with the crime and investigations.

I also felt like it was considering every character in the series has a hard time being together happily I guess shiratori and miss kobyashi is an expectation
